Start with two separate axes
Local and networked describe the boundary of a progressive pool. Fixed and progressive describe how an award is calculated. Those are separate questions, so forcing every game into one exclusive jackpot category can hide useful detail. A title may have a global top tier, smaller local tiers and ordinary fixed wins on the same screen.
A local progressive grows within the scope defined by its operator or game rules. A network progressive connects a wider pool of participating games or operators. Neither label proves that two screens share a pool: the network family, edition, tier and applicable jurisdiction still matter.
A tier name is not a calculation
Mini, Major and Grand are names. They are not standard definitions of prize size, probability or funding. Read the rule beneath the name. Is the prize a number of currency units, a multiple of a triggering stake, or an amount accumulated through contributions?
A fixed multiplier changes its cash value when its stake basis changes. It is still fixed in relation to that basis. A progressive meter changes because of the pool’s rules. Those mechanisms should not be compared as if both were an advertised cash balance.
Read a mixed structure tier by tier
Mega Fortune illustrates why a single badge is incomplete: its provider describes two local progressive jackpots and a global one. Mercy of the Gods combines two fixed multiplier prizes and a progressive Mega. These are different ways to mix prize structures, even though both screens can display three tiers.
Our directory labels the supported structure and keeps a pool-scope-unverified category where the checked source stops short. That category is an information gap, not a fourth funding mechanism. Open a profile to see exactly what has been established.
Use the distinction to ask better questions
Before interpreting an amount, identify the tier, pool boundary and award basis. Then read the actual game information for participation conditions. A provider overview is useful for understanding a mechanic; it does not confirm a particular operator’s current configuration or permission to play from your location.
There is no universal winner among these structures. Pool size alone cannot tell you the cost of participation or the probability of receiving an award. Use the comparison to understand what a label means, without treating it as a recommendation to increase a stake.
