A comparison of mechanisms

Scope and calculation are different questions.

Local or networked tells you who shares a progressive pool. Fixed or progressive tells you how the award is calculated. Games can combine those characteristics.

1 / Who shares this growing pool?

Local progressive

The pool grows within the operator or game boundary described in its rules. Local is a scope label, not a promise that every copy of a title has the same amount.

2 / Which network, edition and tier?

Network progressive

A progressive shared through a defined network. Being in one provider’s portfolio does not put every jackpot title into one pot.

3 / Fixed relative to which stake?

Fixed prizes

A preset award, often a multiple of a specified stake. A jackpot label can describe a fixed prize without a growing progressive pool.

A useful comparison stops at the evidence.

There is no ranking of “best” structure here. The amount alone does not disclose trigger probability, participation cost or account eligibility. If a source establishes a progressive but leaves pool boundaries unclear, our register says “pool scope unverified”.

Mercy of the Gods has fixed Minor and Major awards alongside a progressive Mega. Mega Fortune has two local progressive tiers alongside a global tier. A single game badge cannot express either structure completely.
